한국·뉴질랜드 정상 통화

오늘 크리스토퍼 럭슨 뉴질랜드 총리와 처음으로 전화 통화를 가졌습니다.

뉴질랜드는 한국전쟁에 참전한 소중한 우방국이자, 역내 평화와 번영을 함께 추구하는 핵심 파트너입니다. 양국은 앞으로 경제, 국방·방위산업, 과학기술, 우주 등 다양한 분야에서 협력을 더욱 강화해 나가기로 했습니다.

또한, 올해 하반기 경주에서 열리는 2025 APEC 정상회의의 성공적 개최를 위해서도 긴밀히 협력해 나가기로 약속했습니다.

 
Today I had my first phone conversation with Prime Minister Christopher Luxon of New Zealand.

New Zealand is a valued friend that contributed troops to the Korean War and is one of our key like-minded partners in pursuing regional peace and prosperity. We agreed to further strengthen our cooperation across a wide range of areas, including the economy, defense, defense industry, science and technology, and space.

We also committed to working closely together to ensure the successful hosting of the 2025 APEC Summit in Gyeongju later this year.
